Agate Tūna is a multidisciplinary artist from Riga, Latvia, specializing in analogue and experimental photography. Her techniques include film soups, chemigrams, and photograms, as well as sound art. Tūna plays the role of an investigator between reality and fiction, drawing inspiration from family tales and blending personal narratives with collective history while exploring the interplay between technology and spirituality.
Tūna holds a BA in Painting (2020) and an MA in POST (2023) from the Art Academy of Latvia. In 2022, she graduated from the ISSP School. In 2024, nominated for the Purvītis Prize 2025 and selected for the Futures Photography platform. Recent group exhibitions include: The Elevator Chats 2.0.
